“My filing cabinets are full of papers. There are papers that I've collected over the years as well as many hand-painted papers that I've made to provide an interesting dimension to my collages. Between 2012 and 2016 I worked on abstract collages. Each work began with a piece of paper that captured my imagination. It was an intuitive process, not shaped by a particular concept as had been the case with my earlier collage works.”
